I have a passion for working with people. It is an honour when clients trust you and allow you to be part of their journey.

I have a doctorate in psychology and a master's degree in clinical psychology. I am registered with the HPCSA as an independent practitioner (PS 0151882, PR No 1075462) .

 

As part of my clinical training, I completed an internship at Tygerberg Hospital and Stikland Hospital. I worked in the Adult Neuropsychiatry Unit and Medical Psychology Unit at Tygerberg Hospital. At Stikland Hospital, I worked in an adult therapeutic unit. For my community service year, I worked at Khayelitsha Hospital. As part of my training, I gained experience in working with children and adults.

Before my clinical training, I worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at the Department of Psychiatry (SU). As part of my work, I focused on schizophrenia and the potential impact of early trauma on cognitive functioning and treatment outcomes. My work at the Department of Psychiatry also provided me with an opportunity to visit the Green Lab and Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behaviour (UCLA), where I received training in neuroscience.

As part of my private practice, I offer psychotherapy as well as neuropsychological and medico-legal assessments.
